Why Choose Direct Primary Care?
At Our Lady of Hope Clinic, we recognize that the doctor-patient relationship has deteriorated over the years at most traditional clinics. This is because most primary providers have approximately 2,500 patients assigned to them leaving physicians with little-time to get to know each individual patient or properly access their medical needs. Furthermore, most physicians have to run their medical decisions past a medical insurance representative; leaving the patient out of the decision making process.
When combined with a high-deductible health plan or a membership in a Health Shares Program, becoming a benefactor of Our Lady of Hope Clinic offers a cost-effective healthcare option that will satisfy the Affordable Care Act individual mandate. A high-deductible health plan or Health Shares membership is generally a lower premium plan specifically designed to cover unpredictable events outside the scope of primary care, including specialty care and hospitalizations.
At Our Lady of Hope Clinic, Dr. Mike will cap his member patients at a maximum of 300. This ensures that he has ample time for each and every member, and that he is able to get to know all of them personally and is familiar with their medical histories and needs. It also ensures that his members are able to schedule half-hour appointments with him on a same or next-day basis, and that he can spend the full 30 minutes with each patient. This is unparalled medical care and it is available at Our Lady of Hope Clinic. In addition to expanded appointment times and same or next-day scheduling, our members also receive the following benefits:
Direct access to Dr. Mike 24 hours per day, 7 days each week—our benefactors are given Dr. Mike’s personal cell phone number and email address so that they may reach him after clinic-hours; Unlimited primary care appointments for a low annual or monthly fee; unlimited NFP and women’s health consults; guaranteed appointment times as we respect our patient’s time and busy schedules; a family-focused approach to health care as Dr. Mike can treat your entire family. Additionally, Our Lady of Hope Clinic has formed a relationship with Middleton Family Dental in which members receive substantial discounts for dental services.

Dr. Mike, as he is affectionately known to his patients, will work with your entire family to create a preventative and healthy lifestyle plan that is tailored to your specific needs. You and your doctor are in charge of your health—not your medical insurance provider because Our Lady of Hope Clinic does not accept or bill for medical insurance. This Direct Primary Care model of care empowers patients - not insurance companies - to take charge of their own care. Busy schedules, high co-pays, and costly premiums are no longer obstacles to excellent primary care. And patients never receive a bill or pay a co-pay at Our Lady of Hope Clinic.
